Papparazzi.

On my last two days of freedom, before jumping back into the work force, I decided to get some visits with some family in and try and get something accomplished.

For Saturday we started off kind of lazy and then we hit the road. First we went to Pet Smart to visit the sweet kitties who need homes. One kitty named "Coal Train" really caught my eye and my heart. He was solid black with long hair and piercing yellow/green eyes. He literally spoke to me and despite the color difference he reminded me of my sweet Callie. Of course he didn't come home with us because, lets face it, three is more than enough and it wouldn't be fair to my babies to bring home another one! Instead we came home with a sweet new purple collar (that glows in the dark) for Amelia Pond! She is the only one that will wear a collar and it has a bell so I can keep up with her! I will post a picture below.

Then I called my Dad to make sure he was home and we headed on over for an overdue visit. I don't visit him enough and I always feel bad, but I don't visit anyone much as it is. Me and John pretty much stick to ourselves and we need to get out and be more social. I will add that to my list of things to do! Anyway, we sat around and talked and watched The Daytona 300 with him. We saw that awful crash that happened. I am so shocked the driver was able to walk away from it. There were some injuries to the spectators in the stands. I hope they are okay!

Next we decided to go visit with the niece and nephews, Anna, Luke and Seth. We found Luke in his natural habitat in front of an XBOX game. So hard to believe he is well on his way to being 11!! It seems like yesterday that he was watching The Wiggles and getting all of the attention as the only nephew and grandchild in the family!! Seth had been out with a friend and came back with some kind of rock from a museum that had a sharks tooth in it. The catch was he had to chisel through it to get to the tooth! Of course that makes a mess and he was well on his way to mischief! But that's our Seth, in that stage where he doesn't cooperate for my camera! And of course I always have to take pictures. I don't get to see them enough for me to be tired of taking pictures of them! And then there is Anna, my little sweetie. She showed me her precious room and we played with some Toy Story game. We also played "store" with her cash register and play money!! Of course she cooperated for pictures and gave me lots of hugs and love! I hope that never changes!

That's pretty much it for our Saturday. No we didn't fit in any gym time. Family time came first today. Tomorrow is about activity. Laundry included! I am planning to get a head start on the week with lots of sweat!!

Here is reason  #2 for my weight loss journey: I want to be around for a long time. Even though I'm never going to be a Grandmother, I want to be around to be a Great-Aunt JBo!! I want to be there when my kids go to proms, and graduations, and weddings and some day have another generation of kids to love! I want to do my best to be here as long as I can. I don't know what is in store for me but it is my job to increase my life span and improve my quality of life!
